The Arctic Council Indigenous Peoples Secretariat is seeking an intern to join the team in Tromso, Norway.

The Arctic Council Indigenous Peoples' Secretariat (IPS) is looking for an intern interested in learning the aspects of working in an international environment. The duration of the paid internship is 10-12 months full-time. The intern will be under the guidance of experienced IPS secretariat staff members. An open mind to cultural differences and a team spirit is essential. Applicants for this position must be a citizen of one of the eight Arctic States: Canada, Kingdom of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, United States, Sweden, Russian Federation, and Norway.

IPS is an entity within the Arctic Council Secretariat with its own board and a designated budget and work plan. The main task for the IPS is to facilitate the participation of Indigenous Peoples' organizations (Aleut International Association, Arctic Athabaskan Council, Gwich'in Council International, Inuit Circumpolar Council, RAIPON and The Saami Council) in the work of the Arctic Council.
